Priorities before City Park

I was shocked to read that a face lift for City Park has made it onto council's priority list.

What about all of the undeveloped parks in this city? There is a long list of projects that are way overdue.

For example, the corner of Gordon and Dehart is an eyesore for most of the spring, summer, fall. This was due to be turned into a community park over 10 years ago, but nothing has happened, except a $20,000 expenditure on plans. Wasted money, in my opinion.

Now, rather than serving the tax-paying community, it serves only a handful of garden plot citizens.

It seems to me that more is done for tourists than tax-paying citizens in this town. No wonder infrastructure lags behind.
