Transferring the problem

Re: Kelowna in crisis
Former RCMP Supt. Bill McKinnon seems OK with transferring addiction, crime and illness from downtown Kelowna to a senior neighbourhood. This is in lockstep with the mayor and council's thinking.
No doubt, Mr. McKinnon pleased them with his report. Though there may have been a moment of angst when he volunteered that stepping on a needle is no big deal – the chances of catching something is remote – this should be made known to the public.
McKinnon and the city want to include this proposed "wet" facility at 2025 Agassiz Rd. next door to 700 seniors in direct proximity.
