Time to ditch the change

The BC NDP’s no-go on ditching the time change affects everyone.

They hollowly blame U.S. trade, but the primary commercial borders are open 24/7, so what’s the problem? How, when, where, who and what did the NDP do to decide businesses don’t support one clock?

Clock changes cause increases in heart attacks, sleep disturbance, more pedestrians are injured, ICBC claims increase. The province knows this, yet does nothing.

Taxpayers pay the extra hour labour twice a year for nursing, fire, ambulance, police, etc.

Why expose us to more vehicle accidents, personal injury, pain, and anxiety, when ICBC is so in debt and negatively affected?

The time change isn’t just about being cranky. It’s an important financial and personal health/injury issue. Big Daddy is supposed to protect us. So why harm us unnecessarily when this is such an easy and financially beneficial change?

John Horgan asked us in 2017 to email our thoughts on changing the clocks. Oh, I get it … he played us for our email addresses for the next election.

We need a political system that protects us, where common sense prevails. Time to change to independent MLAs who can think rationally, put British Columbians first and won’t string us along and manipulate our contact info from us.
