Daylight savings all year!

The time change is a very minor inconvenience, but I am in favour of the current system – or actually keeping daylight savings time year round.

For retirees, which I include myself, the extra hour of daylight in the evening might not be a big deal as we can enjoy the daylight hours for most of the day. But for working folks, the extra hour of daylight after their workday is over is very valuable.

Think about all the outdoor activities that take place from 6 to 8 or 9 p.m. from April to September, such as soccer, slowpitch, kids' programs and many other activities that really need that extra "after work" hour to function well.

Think about the people who are still working, and let them have the extra hour of daylight after their hard day at work.
