Time for driving lessons

After reading a letter about impatient drivers, I decided to write a few lines about it myself.

I have been driving since I was 18 years old. I am 76 now, and more than half my driving years have been as a professional and accident free.

I can feel for the writer's daughter if she is insecure, and maybe this is the worst time of the year to start driving. The traffic in Kelowna is heavy, and we also have a lot of visitors in town during this time.

From my own experience and observations, it is also a bad time due to all the construction, road closures and so on.

You wrote that you had been passed illegally. How? Did the other driver cross the center line? You also wrote that you have been honked at, despite the "L" on the back of your car.

Are you sure it was the car immediately behind you or was it somebody further back?

You say "hesitating for a few seconds" and after that "not more than 20 to 30 seconds" – which one is it? Thirty seconds is, in my opinion, way more than a few.

Has your daughter taken any driving lessons yet?
