My Family and I live a few blocks away from the junk collectors on Highway 33. We watched the news on CHBC. My husband and I are appalled that they have children who live there and none of the appropriate agencies have stepped in. Also, whether by choice or not, humans do not reside in motor vehicles! All the people living in this area think Bylaw should be able to step in, especially considering that this home is a fire hazard, as stated on the news cast, especially this time of year. This could affect many homes, not just their junk heap.
Everyone has the right to live their own life, but this is so out of the norm, and the children involved should not have to live in that unsanitary environment. Besides that a fire could affect my family and neighbors.
Hopefully the City, Bylaw or whichever agencies with any authority in this situation will step in before it happens again!!!
