Drug priorities backwards

It is getting harder and harder to understand the logic of governments.

On one hand, they are closing down medical pot shops even though the feds say it will be legal come October.

This forces people who are using it for medicinal purposes out onto the street to buy it from drug dealers with no idea what else might be in it.

On the other hand, the government is happy to spend tax dollars opening up free safe injection sites and providing free herion to drug addicts.

So let’s keep a drug that will be legal soon away from people who actually need it and instead give totally illegal drugs to addicts and create a nice safe haven so they can inject themselves safely and discretely.

Makes perfect sense to me.
