Waste is due to consumer

If I remember correctly, this is not the first time that somebody is pointing a finger to this. It is a shame, but who's fault is it?

I hate to say it but we are all at fault, one way or another. It is company policy because they want to cover their backs and it is not just Tim Horton's, it is the same for every place that sells food. Every grocery store is ordered by law to get rid of everything that is "outdated". I put this last word in brackets because in many cases it is the wrong word.

The whole thing started with a few stupid people and probably the same amount of greedy lawyers and a number of judges that for whatever reason agreed to reward those with settlement money.

I agree, there are a few foods that we need to be careful (meat, poultry, seafood) however, if somebody decides to crawl into a dumpster and eat whatever they find, they should be held responsible for their own actions and not be rewarded.

With the laws we have today, everybody goes by the imprint on the package. If it says "best before", it does not mean bad the day after. But this is, unfortunately, today's trend. I can do whatever I want, I can eat whatever I want, then if anything goes wrong, I sue!
