Not just hydro from dam

Those opposed to the Site C hydro dam are missing a very important thing. Much more important than the hydro that will be years in coming online, is the fresh water storage this dam will create.

If managed properly could and should open up a fishery for First Nation to take advantage of, it could be stocked with fish that sell well and just be open to First Nation to commercially fish other than sport fishermen. But the fresh water storage of our most important resource, it is the most important of all.

Though it won’t be near enough it will help. We have so many areas in the mountains that are a natural to dam for fresh water storage, that we are going to so dearly need in the future and nothing is being done about it? As for Site C hydro, by the time it comes on line we are going need it and more if we are going to meet our carbon objective. In the meantime we are still going to be generating hydro with carbon producing diesel, natural gas, solar and wind are expensive, as well as producing lots of carbon to build, install, and maintain. What I would like to see is the tides harnessed but it seems there a lot of difficulties in trying to do this?
