Kelowna needs larger mall

I have lived in Kelowna for eight years and believe that Kelowna is crying out for a new bigger mall, a real signature piece that meets the needs of the city as it grows even bigger and expands to the north with the improved Hwy 97. Orchard Park Mall is looking dated and unable to expand in capacity for stores or parking, a second level does not look feasible or practical.

With the new Airport Village starting to grow with its first stores and hotels, the area to its immediate north looks like an ideal site to capture customers from both Kelowna and Lake Country with plenty of room for a multi-story mall and parking. Wouldn't it be great if Kelowna had a mall like the one in West Edmonton, Toronto or Montreal with stores, food courts, hotel accommodation with adequate parking and road access. It would be a real identity statement for the city serving the whole of the Okanagan. It just needs someone  to come up with the imagination and investment to make it all happen.
