Boaters beware!

I just wanted to alert the public that there are dangerous objects floating beneath the surface of Okanagan lake.

We drove our boat up and down the center of the lake between Knox mountain boat launch and the bridge. On the second pass back from the bridge the boat started making some horrid clunking sounds. We took her out of the water and found that the propeller was all chewed up.

When speaking with a man from the rental department of a marina, he said that he'd hit a metal barrel that was just below the surface of the water near another marina.  I'm pretty sure we hit the same thing or something similar, it broke two of our three fins on the propeller.

Just wanted to warn people and maybe hope that some type of lake service might do some top side dragging to clear debris from the flooding.
