Traffic and taxes

As I get ready to pay my property taxes, I have to wonder if some of it could please be used to improve traffic flow in areas of our city?

During my normal daily route, to and from work, I am amazed at the congestion at several intersections that might benefit from a left-turn arrow.

At Spall, trying to turn left onto Springfield during certain times of the day, is treacherous at best!  A number of people now just go straight through and do a u-turn to get onto Springfield, because if you don’t, then you are waiting for several lights.  It is then compounded if there are any pedestrians trying to cross the street.  This is also happening at many other intersections, which I have experienced at Burtch/Springfield, Guisichan/Gordon. I suspect there are many more intersections in a similar state.

Many locals, including myself, try to take as many side roads as possible to avoid the Hwy 97 disaster traffic, but I certainly think that some planning needs to happen by our City Planners to improve the flow of traffic on to our main traffic corridors.  Please use some of my taxes as a down payment for left turn arrows!
