What are the real rules for bike lanes?
I drive for a living and see it all, and would like to know what the actual rules are.
Who is allowed in bike lanes? Bikes, skateboards, runners, scooters, walkers, wheelchairs, turning cars?
That being said, who is allowed on the road? Scooters, wheelchairs, walkers, runners, bikes, etc.
Who has the right of way? A scooter or bike going the wrong way down a street? Or the car who has no other option but to be on the road, unlike bikes who can change from sidewalk to road to bike lane at any given moment?
Also, whatever happened to "look both ways before crossing the street”?
