Thanks KGH!

I had to stop everything and get this down in writing, before I forget.

Today was my first day back home after spending 8 of the most excruciatingly painful days of my life as a guest of KGH. If you think I'm about to start bashing our medical system, you are wrong.

I was admitted into Emergency at 7:30 a.m. last Thursday. I was in a semiprivate room by late afternoon, and by 3:00 a.m. Friday, I was on the operating table.

Who would have known that three ORs would run all night?

Who would have known that dedicated doctors like Dr. MacLeod would pull a late shift like that?

And, from there on, it got better. Nursing heroes like Laura, Wendy, Cindy, Shannon, Nancy, and student nurses like Travis and Evelyn, giving it their all to make my care their priority. The physio people with their cheerful encouragement day after day.

The system isn't broken. It won't be broken until these special people are unable to work this hard every day anymore. It is, though, severely under staffed and under capitalized!

All my memories will be fine ones.

Thanks KGH!

Tom Lang
