Lotto comments not fair

I would like to chime in on the recent letter from Mike Kertesz regarding the recent lottery win for Robert Goertzen.

I would also like to congratulate Mr. Goertzen on his win. However the comments of Mr Kertesz, almost sound like he is not sincere in his congratulatory words.

Yes, I am sure that there are lots of unemployed heavy equipment operators that could surely use a job, but to comment on his "obese bank account" I do not think is fair.

Mr. Goertzen had mentioned that his boss had helped him out when he was down, and that he was grateful for the opportunity. By winning the lottery, it has given Robert the opportunity to relax and live life his way. But he has not forgotten the person that helped him in need, and if he was to just up and leave the company, then quite possibly his boss and friend would be left in a bind, which Robert seems not wanting to do.

I think it is noble that Robert came back to work the next day, and we do not know, but, maybe he is training a replacement teacher for his boss and friend. But to be negative about a person who chooses to go back to work that he likes after winning the lottery, seems to be a sign of jealousy.

Congratulations Mr. Goertzen, you seem like a very sincere person, employee, and friend.

Enjoy your winnings.
