Gas prices

I've got a problem with the gas prices.

How is it that oil has been around 40 bucks a barrel for many months and there is a major over supply in oil. Why are the gas stations gouging so much for so long? If the price of oil goes up, almost that same day the gas goes up. This gouging has to stop.

No one says anything and it is hurting every one. Usually when the oil price has tanked there are a ton of layoffs, but the flip side is that gas prices drop some what, off setting the drop in the economy. Now there are massive layoffs, and no end in sight, yet the gas prices remain high which is killing the economy.

At least when the gas prices drop it works in the human psyche. Even though it's not huge savings, but it gives the public the sense they have extra cash. So they go and have lunch at a pub, the pub benefits, the waitress gets tips, she goes and buys some clothes. Text book trickle down economics.

With the economy going further into a recession, the  gas prices are one of the biggest impact things. This is ridiculous. There should be more media involved. People don't understand the huge impact the high gas prices have with the recession.

Please start the movement and get this into the media.
