Migrant crisis indeed

Are we in this country going to make the same mistake that Western Europe has made, and is still making, by welcoming with open arms those whose very worldview and belief system calls for their death as infidels? Who want not to become Europeans, but who want Europe to become an Islamic state?

What we are seeing in France, in Sweden, in Germany, in the UK, etc., is how supposed kindness toward these people is actually unkindness toward their own people, their very own children, and their own nations.

I understand that there are those who are fleeing for their lives, but there are many, many of them who are doing no such thing. How can we justify causing harm to our own people, and our own culture, and our own way of life in this way? Helping foreigners at the expense of your own countrymen, your own neighbours, and even your own children is not morally commendable. It is easy for people here to throw out terms meant to silence others, terms such as 'racist', 'selfish', 'fear-mongers'. But see how easy it is when we ourselves are experiencing a literal flood of foreigners washing down the street where we live and where our children play. See if you can take this false moral high-ground when it is your daughter who is raped, or your business' windows smashed in, or your city park turned into a refuse dump.

Please, stop with the politically correct suicide, and let us reason together with our eyes open to this world we live in. Let us stand up as men and women of Canada, and not let this nation go the sorry way of others, who are now mourning the loss of lives.

Elijah Cross
