I live in Solterra Ranch in north Glenmore and I have a few questions on how the GEID came up with a flat rate billing amount for everyone in this area? I understand that our water meters are not being used until 2016 to track individual consumption of water, but I want to know why I am being charged a high flat rate of fifty dollars per dwelling? We all have one water main and one water meter to our homes, the legal suites do not have separate water lines from the street or meters so why are we getting charged double? I think the cost should get looked at again three hundred dollars for three months worth of water is not affordable for anyone. The average single dwelling water bill for most areas is around one hundred twenty five dollars to one hundred sixty dollars for three months worth of water. Let’s not take advantage of people that decided to buy a home with a legal suite.
