Medical marijuana

We live in an ever evolving society, especially in the usage of weed. The government established laws based on information perhaps some good some bad and have taken the stance its bad. Up to six months in prison and possible $1000.00 fine or both for minute amounts of weed in possession. This government rails against the usage of weed and the new coming laws are very restrictive especially for those who need to use weed, whether it be medical Satavex spray or oil or in what ever form it is used. Yet this very same government pays for weed to help veterans who need it. Most of the patient users do not have the funds to pay for Satavex spray (approx. $350.00 per bottle lasting about one month and on top of that 14% tax). So guess where they go, underground and I am thinking the underground cavern is huge.

I have a very close relative who suffers from MS, trigeminal neuralgia, and associated other medical problems. With all of the prescribed medicines taken, weed does seem to help the most. However with the new laws and the wait time to receive your licenses to buy medical weed, the suffering goes on. Meet this relative and i challenge you to say "Pot Head".

The government is backed into a corner. Can’t change our stance and look how week we might seem, now can we. The Liberals want to take weed usage out of the criminal courts and make it similar to receiving a traffic ticket. Countries and states are now getting on side to authorize weed usage. Millions of dollars in taxes collected is helping governments in a positive way. I read the police chiefs across Canada want weed to be taken out of the criminal courts so why not this government to enact the same laws? I suggest pressure be placed on the shoulders of MP Ron Cannan by all those who use weed for medical purposes so that he may take your concerns back to Ottawa for needed change. Don’t forget, this MP represents all of us and not just the Conservatives. So if nothing is said to him, he will take the government stance that their way is the right way. Same as he did with the closure of our VAC offices in this fair city.
