I am self-employed and feel very fortunate to have a job in this valley. This letter is to those who are out on the picket lines feeling that they are being chastised by the BC Government. Being self-employed for 20+ years, I have experienced months without work and months too busy to have any time off.
Making the wage that you people make along with all the benefits AS WELL as having paid holidays, you should feel very fortunate. There are a lot of people living on the poverty line and barely able to get by. The actions you are taking are affecting not only the patients in need of life-saving surgery, but it's going all the way down to affect our children -- YOUR children because of all the UNIONS supporting you.
If you feel the need to quit to find a better, more secure job, there are lots of people that would love to have your present job along with all the benefits and vacation time.
