Anjali Inman is here

The news item was wrong when it introduced only Keith Inman to Kelowna because Anjali is the better half.

Kelowna is lucky to have two great lawyers with a unique set of skills now calling the Okanagan home.

Anjali has joined the team at Pihl Law while Keith has joined Pushor Mitchell.

Welcome to Kelowna you two.

It contributes $1.3 billion into the economy. It has had a 30 per cent growth in the past two years.  There are 663 that employ 7,600 people.  What Am I?

That’s right! It’s the Okanagan tech sector. Impressive!

What amazes me is that 52 per cent of that industry is under 35.  You may have already seen that UBC is committed to adding tech programs to their roster.

The 668 companies are transforming the Okanagan's economy through innovation and determination and will continue to add work and supply the workers to this booming industry.

Congratulations to Michael Wendland of Refresh Financial for being ranked No. 3 on the Startup 50 ranking of Canada's Top New Growth Companies by Canadian Business and Profit.

Marketing Director Dan Winer says they have had 1,948 per cent growth over the last two years and are now employing 50 Kelowna residents.

“Being featured as one of the fastest growing companies not only reflects the hard work and dedication of our team, but also highlights the growing need for strong alternative financial solutions for the underbanked in Canada.”

Congratulations to Kasia Kadzielska for opening the new Oxygen Yoga & Fitness Studio in Spall Plaza.

Oxygen Yoga is different than all other hot yoga studios. This is modern yoga fused with fitness under infrared heat.

Infrared heats your core to push out the toxins and detoxify the body. Please join them Sept. 17 from 1-4 p.m. for their grand opening.

I hear the giveaways are going to be fantastic.

The Kelowna Jaycees are looking to start a new Legacy Project and are asking the community for suggestions on what would have the biggest impact.
