FourChange.org comes clean

After several weeks of near anonymity, FourChange.org, a grass roots organization hoping to have a say in the upcoming Kelowna municipal election, has revealed some of the business leaders behind the group.

In a press release issued late Tuesday afternoon, FourChange unveiled its nine member steering committee.

"To steer this campaign on behalf of hundreds of supporters, nine volunteers have stepped forward," the release states.

"Their backgrounds are diverse and reflective of the city. Attached bios reflect individuals who have contributed to the good of Kelowna. They have a stake in its future and believe change is needed."

The nine members include:

Francis Braam Owner/Managing Broker of Royal LePage Kelowna (1999 to present) -  Director of
Okanagan Mainline Real Estate Board; Past President of Kelowna Jaycees, Coach of Kelowna Minor
Hockey; Coach of Kelowna Minor Basketball.

Brad Cronquist Partner, Pushor Mitchell LLP; Director of Kelowna Chamber 1997-2003 -  Past President
of Kelowna Chamber of Commerce (2002); Past President Kelowna Jaycees (1996); Senator JCI
International (International body overseeing Junior Board of Trade & Jaycees), Soccer coach KYSA
2010-2011.

Rodney Friesen President of Voyager RV Centre (1984-current) -  Senior Managing Director of Natco
Trading Company Inc. (1984-current) (online classified advertising of RV’s, cars & boats); Kelowna
resident since 1973 and Downtown resident since 2003.

Nick Frost Founder/President of Castanet.net (2000-present) -  Founder/President of Silk FM
Broadcasting (1985-2006); Founder/President of SilkInternet (1995-2000); Past President of Kelowna
Chamber of Commerce; Past Director in Snowfest, Heritage Society, Okanagan Symphony and
Downtown Rotary.

Jacquie Jones Human Resources Recruiter, Trainer & Advisor at RBC (10 yrs) -  Sales Manager &
Business Development Manager at RBC Discount Brokerage (3 years); Post Secondary Education
Continuing Education Consultant & Department Head (Kwantlen College, BCIT), (12 years); Retired.
Vice-Chair Kelowna General Hospital Foundation (Board 2001-2006) Chair of Fundraising, Chair of
Adolescent Psychiatric Unit Campaign; Director of KGH Foundation, COF, and Canadian Cancer
Fundraiser.

David Langton Partner in Competition Glass - Executive Member of Kelowna Jaycees, The Kelowna
Chamber of Commerce, and various other provincial associations. Current President of Glazing

The release goes on to say, "the purpose of FourChange is to be united in electing four new people to represent the taxpayers on council - people who are leaders; people who know we need development to help fund social
issues; people who have a big picture view of Kelowna’s future, not just pet projects; people who
have a balanced outlook; people who have the education or experience that warrants entrusting
them to our $93 million tax base."

"Many have asked why FourChange is neutral on the mayoralty. The citizens of Kelowna are well able
to choose between two serious candidates without suggestion from us. However with more than 30
candidates expected for Council - FourChange can help get the word out - so voters can make more
informed decisions."
