Professional mentors offered to up-and-coming country music artists in the Okanagan
Mentoring the next stars
Dreaming of a career in country music?
A new mentorship program launched by the Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) and Creative Okanagan is giving emerging artists the chance to learn from the best — just in time for Country Music Week in Kelowna on Sept. 13.
Selected participants will be matched with experienced industry mentors, gain access to exclusive CCMA events, and receive hands-on guidance to help shape their careers.
“We’re so excited to be partnering with Creative Okanagan to launch the Country Music Week Mentorship Program,” said Amy Jeninga, president of the CCMA.
“It’s a meaningful way to provide support to those navigating new opportunities during Country Music Week 2025, while also serving to educate and elevate emerging voices, celebrate the guidance of those helping to shape their path, and continue building a stronger future for country music together.”
The program is open to Canadian citizens and permanent residents aged 18 and up. Organizers encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds, cultures, identities, and abilities.
A panel of music industry pros from both the CCMA and Creative Okanagan will review applications based on past work and future goals.
Applications are open now until July 22, 2025 here. Successful applicants will be notified on August 8, 2025.
