Plan to “rejuvenate” Kelowna's Waterfront Island Stage starts next week

Island stage upgrades start

Construction is set to begin Monday to “rejuvenate” the Waterfront Island Stage.

Crews will demolish the existing stage, infill a portion of the lagoon and construct a new stage.

The project is expected to be completed next spring, providing “an asset for local events, festivals and programs in the park.”

The multi-use pathway from Sunset Drive through Rotary Marsh Park and Concession Plaza will be closed temporarily as well as some Waterfront Park pathways.

The project is expected to cost $1 million.
