Reach for the Stars online auction goes live in support of hospice

The Central Okanagan Hospice Association (COHA) has launched its Reach for the Stars Online Auction, a fundraising effort for the Swinging with the Stars gala, presented by Jane Hoffman Reality. The gala, which returns after a two-year hiatus, will take place on February 25 at the Delta Grand Marriott Hotel in Kelowna.

Bidding for the Reach for the Stars Online Auction, which features over $20,000 worth of prizes, opens to the public on February 1 and can be done at www.hospicecoha.org. The auction includes items such as round trip flight vouchers for two, tickets to the Kelowna Rockets, golf packages, cocktail classes, tattoo sessions and more.

The Reach for the Stars Online Auction provides an opportunity for those who cannot attend the gala to support COHA, as all proceeds will go directly to the organization. COHA is experiencing unprecedented demand for its services and encourages the community to participate in the auction.

According to Natasha Girard, Executive Director of COHA, "Our online auction is an exciting new addition to this year's gala and allows more opportunities for our community to get involved and give back to COHA. With each winning bid, it helps COHA build a stronger community for how we take care of the dying and grieving."

Swinging with the Stars, based on the popular show "Dancing with the Stars," pairs local celebrities with professional dance instructors to prepare for a gala filled with various dance styles and entertainment. COHA has been serving the Central Okanagan for over 40 years and offers its services for free to clients, families and friends, thanks to the generosity of the community.
