Anniversary convoy rolling through Thompson-Okanagan today

Freedom Convoy drives thru

The Freedom Convoy was back on the streets Saturday rallying together in protest against vaccine mandates and the Trudeau-led government.

At 9:25 a.m., roughly a dozen vehicles hoisting Canadian flags came driving through downtown Kelowna.

According to a news release belonging to the group calling themselves The Resistance, their plan is to drive through Kelowna, West Kelowna, Merritt, Kamloops and Vernon before returning to Kelowna.

The protestors gathered at McCurdy Corner in Kelowna before heading to the Superstore Parking lot in West Kelowna to meet up with more protestors coming from the South Okanagan.

The convoy is scheduled to return to the McCurdy Corner parking lot in Rutland at approximately 5 p.m.

This rally comes on the one-year anniversary of original convoy's arrival in Ottawa.
