A woman who was allegedly involved in a fight at last year's Steve-O show in the Kelowna Community Theatre has turned herself in to the police.
Earlier this week, CrimeStoppers of the Central Okanagan released a photo of a woman they believed was involved in the brawl, which occurred on Oct. 28, 2022, prior to Steve-O taking the stage.
Thursday morning, Kelowna RCMP spokesperson Const. Mike Della-Paolera said the suspect had “made contact with the Kelowna RCMP.”
No charges have been laid at this time, as Const. Della-Paolera says the “investigation is ongoing.”
The day after the fight, a woman told Castanet she suffered two black eyes, a swollen lip and a broken nose when she was allegedly attacked by a woman in the theatre, while her sister-in-law suffered a black eye and a large “goose egg” on her head.
She said the altercation began after she had asked a “belligerent” couple seated behind her to be quiet.
“I don't really remember because I got hit, she punched me once and then punched me twice,” the woman said. “I sat down and turtled and put my hands over my head and she was just swinging and swinging.
“She was like an octopus with eight arms, she was a Goliath. Just eyes closed and swinging, she was just mad at the world.”
CrimeStoppers said on Monday that “two males began fighting and then a female began punching two women, causing several non-life-threatening injuries."
