Kelowna Yacht Club employee wins national award

An employee of the Kelowna Yacht Club is getting national recognition for capturing an award with the Club Management Association of Canada.

Nicole Kiatipis was awarded CMAC's Young Professional award, which recognizes the best in achievements and contributions in club management in Canada.

The Young Professional award recognizes young club management professionals who demonstrate notable professional accomplishments and those who show great future potential.

The KYC says since joining the Kelowna Yacht Club in 2017, Nicole has played an instrumental role in a number of facets within the organization.

"I could not think of a more deserving candidate for this award," said executive director Thom Killingsworth.

"Nicole is a consummate professional, is always prepared, and her commitment to continued learning has been a very valuable aspect to the Kelowna Yacht Club."

According to KYC, Nicole has cultivated the KYC brand and has implemented its use within an array of departments, including social media, communications, marketing, member services, food and beverages and more.

Since 1957, the Club Management Association of Canada has been supporting members with education, certification, networking, and member events to facilitate them being the best in the industry.
