The Shack author will discuss his writings at Kelowna's Metro Hub

Best-seller coming to town

A New York Times best-selling author is coming to Kelowna next weekend.

William Paul Young, a Canadian writer who came to prominence and climbed the Times list when he wrote The Shack, will be at Metro Community’s Metro Hub on Saturday, Oct. 1, at 7 p.m., to discuss his career.

The Metro Hub is located at 1265 Ellis St.

The Shack was such a smashing success as a book that it was turned into a movie starring Sam Worthington, Octavia Spencer and Tim McGraw. Young will discuss The Shack as well as his recent efforts like Crossroads, Eve and The Lies We Believe About God.

The evening will also feature special musical guest and violin virtuoso Chloe Davidson.

Tickets are $30 and are available here. Proceeds from the event will benefit Metro Community’s ongoing work among those experiencing homelessness and relational poverty.
