Water advisory coming for Black Mountain residents

Water advisory coming

People living in Black Mountain are being advised about an upcoming water advisory.

The Black Mountain Irrigation District has issued a precautionary water quality advisory for the entire service area due to maintenance work.

The advisory begins on September 27 and the work should be complete by the end of the next day. However, the advisory will remain in place until October 5, until fully treated water disperses throughout the distribution system.

The advisory will be lifted once the Black Mountain Irrigation District reviews their test results.

People impacted by the water quality advisory—such as the elderly, those with young children or infants, those with weakened immune systems or anyone seeking a higher level of protection—may wish to boil their water for at least one minute when using it for purposes such as drinking, brushing teeth, washing food, preparing food, mixing baby formula or making beverages or ice.
