Kelowna's cultural district will be bustling with art on Saturday night

Roving audience experience

The Rotary Centre of the Arts’ Roving Audience Experience returns to Kelowna’s cultural district on Saturday evening.

Enjoy free performance art will fill the neighbourhood from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., with a wide variety of cultures represented.

Attendees can pick up a map at the RCA and wander the cultural district to encounter Spanish culture, classical infusion, Indigenous culture, poetry slams, street culture and buskers.

“The Roving Audience Experience not only highlights beautiful downtown Kelowna and all it has to offer but also provides a fresh influx of creative energy to the streets by exposing patrons to a variety of visual art, music, and performances,” says Chelsea Boan, community engagement and events coordinator.

"Arts and culture have been one of the slowest industries to recover from the pandemic. We all have something in common with art as it transcends all languages and backgrounds. In our community, it is our mission to bring back this source of joy. Please join us for an evening of sharing our love and appreciation of culture, talent, and art.”

Featured artists include Dani Lion, Syilx Smokin Braidz, Vinnie The Squid, Lucas Joel, Manny de Jesus, The Poetry Elf, NAV, KEN Shaw, Olivia Walsh, Narumi Higuchi, Gypsym Rose Movement Art, Dani Michelle, Major Mambo, Tayna Vadurova (Mission Dance), Michael Se Elliott and Inner Fish’s Bike Ride Collective.

Participating food trucks include Bunny Hug Food Fresh, Burger Boss, and Scooters Ice Cream.
