RDCO closes Greenway parking lot to repair damage caused by spring freshet

The Regional District of Central Okanagan is continuing to repair damage to the Mission Creek Greenway caused by spring melt.

The parking area of Hollywood Road south will be used for the staging of heavy equipment and will be closed for most of the day Friday.

The parking lot is expected to open Friday evening and should be open for the weekend.

“Heavy equipment will be staging in the parking lot as part of the upstream repairs to the Greenway trail and three bridges that were damaged during the spring freshet. For everyone’s safety please stay out of the parking area while it is closed,” states a news release from the RDCO.
