The Kelowna RCMP and Central Okanagan Search and Rescue are back on the water Sunday searching for a man who fell into Okanagan Lake Saturday evening and did not resurface.

Kelowna RCMP were called to the downtown Marina at 6:50 p.m. Saturday.

According to multiple people at the scene, a person had fallen into the lake outside the gas bar off Bernard Avenue.

Police were reportedly seen using a pole to touch the bottom of the lake, potentially searching for the missing person.

Duane Tresnich, COSAR manager, tells Castanet crews along with the RCMP are currently searching in the water where the man first fell in.

Kelowna RCMP request the public avoid the area while the search is ongoing.
