Power has now been restored, according to FortisBC
ORIGINAL 9 p.m.
The power is out in Rutland.
According to multiple call-ins to Castanet, power is currently not working near Tower Ranch.
Castanet is now being told that the power is also out in Black Mountain.
According to the FortisBC website, 1989 customers have lost power.
The cause of the outage is unknown at this time, but Castanet will update when more information comes in.
