Parks Alive! kicks off with "Golden Oldies" on Bernard Avenue

Four stages for Parks Alive!

Now that Canada Day festivities have wrapped up, Festivals Kelowna is shifting focus to Parks Alive!

The nine-week concert series begins July 5, with Valley First Community Music Tuesdays in the 400-block of Bernard Avenue. This week, the theme is Golden Oldies. The Regals take the stage at 6:30, followed by Smitten at 7:40.

The Wednesday Night Showcase takes place at the Island Stage in Waterfront Park, starting with Latin Beat on July 6.

On Thursdays, the place to be is Sarsons Beach in Mission for Kiwanis Family Thursday.

Fridays feature the PC Urban & Nicola Wealth Music Weekends at the Kelowna Pride Stage in Kerry Park, next to The Sails. The music continues Saturday night at Kerry Park.

All the events during Parks Alive! are free, but donations are welcomed. The money goes back into the program to continue to bring accessible, high calibre, live entertainment to the community.

The summer music festival continues until Aug. 27.
