Members of the public helped Kelowna RCMP nab an assault suspect.
Const. Mike Della-Paolera said at approximately 3 p.m. Thursday, police received a report that an assault had occurred in Kelowna’s City Park near the water park.
“A man was subsequently detained by bystanders and is currently receiving medical treatment at the local hospital,” Della-Paolera said in a press release. “There are no further concerns for public safety.”
The Kelowna RCMP Serious Crime Unit has assumed conduct of the investigation.
