Former Kelowna mayoral candidate Tom Dyas appears ready to throw his hat back into the ring.
Dyas, who ran against Colin Basran in 2018, has invited the public to an announcement on “the future of Kelowna” on Wednesday, 7 p.m. at Rutland Centennial Hall.
It is not known if Dyas will be taking another run at the mayor's chair or has his sights set on council. Basran defeated him easily in 2018, with Dyas capturing just 30% of the vote—well short of Basran’s 56%.
Basran has not announced if he will be running for re-election or not.
Dyas is the owner of TD Benefits in Kelowna and a former president of the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce.
