Rotary Centre for the Arts launches 50/50 draw to fund 20th Anniversary celebrations

50/50 for Rotary Arts Centre

It’s something you typically see at a hockey game or curling tournament, but the Rotary Centre for the Arts in Kelowna is betting on the popularity of 50/50 draws to fund its 20th Anniversary Celebrations.

The RCA has launched the Listen to Your Art 50/50 raffle fundraiser.

Tickets are available now through March 31, 2022, here. Half of the money raised will go towards supporting the RCA and the other half to one lucky winner, to be announced April 1, 2022.

“For 20 years, the RCA has been Kelowna’s arts and culture hub. We want to celebrate that history by creating unique events and memorable experiences for the whole community to enjoy. Listen to Your Art will help us bring that vision to life,” said Colleen Fitzpatrick, executive ddirector of the RCA.

“As a charitable non-profit organization, we depend on the generosity of our community, funders, and sponsors to deliver our many arts education programs and live audience experiences. Listen to Your Art is a fun and easy way to support the arts and artists in our community while also getting yourself in the running for a wonderful cash prize,” she adds.

The money will support free and accessible community art programs like School of Blues and Jazz Jam, but will also be put into developing a range of audience experiences and events in celebration of the 20th Anniversary.

To be eligible for the RCA’s April 1 drawing, tickets must be purchased by midnight on March 31. Participants must be 19+ to play and be within BC at the time of purchase.
