UPDATE 4:10 p.m.
Operations at Kelowna International Airport are up and running after emergency crews finished tending to a small plane that slid off the runway.
YLW spokesperson Cassie Brannaga says a Cessna-172 aircraft slid off the runway and into a snowbank at approximately 3:20 Friday afternoon.
The plane, with one person on board, had just completed a landing when it left the runway.
The pilot of the plane was not injured as a result of the incident.
There's no indication as to what caused the plane to slide off the runway.
Brannaga says the incident forced YLW to close all runways to both incoming and outbound aircraft.
The runway was cleared shortly after 4 p.m., allowing the airport to resume full operations.
