Two Kelowna RCMP officers were spreading the holiday cheer Saturday morning, helping a senior with a walker cross the snow-covered Gordon Drive.
Several Castanet readers sent in video and photos of the act of kindness, which shows the two officers blocking Gordon Drive at Laurier Avenue with their police cruisers and holding the woman and her walker as she crosses to the east side of the busy road.
"These two cops did an amazing job and should be recognized for it," said one Castanet reader.
"Kudos to the two Kelowna RCMP officers," said another.
Heavy snow has caused slippery conditions on local roads and sidewalks, making travel around the city difficult both by foot and vehicle. The snow is forecast to continue falling through to the evening.
