The City of Kelowna is asking residents to get involved in shaping the new active transportation corridor (ATC) on Casorso Road.
The community has from now until January 10, 2022 to visit the City’s Get Involved engagement site to provide input on a proposed design between K.L.O and Barrera Roads. One lucky participant will also receive a $50 Local Gift Card.
This new addition to the City’s active transportation network will join with the Ethel and Casorso ATCs to the north, filling a key gap in the continuous north-south corridor linking Downtown and Lower Mission.
Protected bike lanes and sidewalk improvements will also boost safety and mobility between major destinations like Okanagan College, Casorso Elementary School, and Pandosy Urban Centre.
After the public engagement process, the project will move on to detailed design, with construction for K.L.O. Road to Lanfranco Road expected to begin later in 2022.
