Kelowna's Denim on the Diamond has announced it will take place in less than three weeks, after Interior Health announced Monday large events can take place with proof of vaccination.
"Have you heard the rumours? Sweet Mother of Mercy — Denim is a go. The new health order for events requires double vaccination — if you purchased a ticket, check your email for details. In light of this news, we are releasing a limited amount of tickets, get on them ASAP as we are nearing full capacity," the event organizers said on Facebook.
The outdoor concert will take place October 2.
The night will include performances from The Hunter Brothers, JJ Wilde, Teigen Gayse, DJ Invizible, Moontricks and more.
After having to cancel last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the festival is returning to Kelowna's Kings Stadium in a big way.
“During this difficult year and a half, one thing that became very apparent is our collective need for community and social connection - our goal is to create a space where everyone is welcome, everyone feels safe and we’re able to celebrate overcoming the hardships the pandemic has brought to people,” festival co-founder Kurt Jory told Castanet back in July.
“This is going to be a party to remember that’s for sure.”
