New breakfast restaurant opening in downtown Kelowna

Breakfast coming to Ella

A new breakfast spot will be popping up in downtown Kelowna soon.

Mission Group announced Monday that OEB Breakfast Co., an eatery with locations across Canada and the U.S., will be serving customers from the ground floor of the Ella commercial and residential tower, which is located at the corner of Ellis Street and Lawrence Avenue.

“We’re excited to be working with Mission Group in bringing OEB to Kelowna,” OEB director of marketing Teale Orban said in a press release. “With the city’s rapid growth, expanding into this market was a natural next step for the OEB brand.”

Two of the other three retail locations in Ella have been claimed by The Collective, which is a collection of beauty and wellness entrepreneurs. The fourth and final spot is waiting to be filled by a business that is looking to take advantage of the growth explosion currently taking place in Kelowna.

Mission Group has also filled two of its three retail spaces in its 468 West Ave development, which is located in Pandosy Village. The two businesses are the locally owned Wedge Cheesery and Studio West.

“We’re excited to welcome businesses eager to set up shop in our growing city,” Mission Group CEO Jon Friesen said. “Everything we do at Mission Group is inspired by social conscience. Our mission is to create spaces for people to flourish.

“The commercial retail units at our developments are no different; we want to support small businesses and elevate their chance of success. A high-traffic location in a dazzling city that has consistently attracted visitors from around the world is a great place to start.”

Businesses interested in leasing the final retail space at Ella, 468 West Ave or other Mission Group developments can contact the company’s commercial leasing team at 250.317.6998 or email [email protected].

“We want to be intentional and discerning in who we lease these spaces to,” Friesen said. “We want to make sure we’re supporting the right kind of businesses; businesses that truly add value to the community.”
