Michaelbrook Golf Course is under new management.
The 53 acre golf course property in Kelowna's Lower Mission has sold.
Jeff Hudson and Marshall McAnerney with HM Commercial Group made the announcement.
The property began as a turf farm in the 1970's before being developed into a golf course.
"It has been a great ride and a privilege to run this golf course for the past eight years," said owners Tom and Betty Stanbrook.
"We are staying in the Okanagan, but it's time to pass the torch to a new group who can inject the energy and capital to take it to the next level."
The course was purchased by local buyers, headed by Nadean Ostrom.
“Our family has frequented Michaelbrook for over 20 years so the opportunity to own this property is a bit of a dream come true. We will not be making major changes and will continue to keep this hidden gem a place all ages will enjoy as their recreational outlet," said Ostrom.
"The current staff will remain in place and we look forward to their input and experience in making improvements going forward. We look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones at the course.”
The course is within the Agricultural Land Reserve and will remain a golf course.
The property includes an 18-hole, 3,721 yard course, clubhouse, restaurant and four-bedroom home.
HM Commercial Group is licensed with Macdonald Realty Kelowna.
