'Random Acts of Costuming' host toy drive for children ward at KGH

Toy drive for children's ward

The Random Acts of Costuming are back but this time with a fundraiser.

On Feb. 6, the team will be hosting a toy drive for the Kelowna General Hospital's children's ward.

Organizer Scott Burke is asking residents to support local businesses by purchasing donations from small local businesses, if possible.

He also reached out to nurses at KGH, who have requested some items for the children: playing cards, stress balls for teens, dolls or action figures, ?small packed toys and coffee pods for parents.

"Everything needs to be in a package to prevent spreading any viruses," adds Burke.

There will be some members of the team dressed in superhero gear for the children to enjoy.

For those interested the Random Acts of Costuming will be at Chibi's Anime Goods and Collectibles from 10 a.m. until noon on Saturday, Feb. 6.
