The rebranding of Kelowna's EZ Rock radio station has cancelled the Andy & Tj morning show

Andy & Tj show no more

With the rebranding of Kelowna’s EZ Rock radio station, the community’s beloved Andy & Tj Morning Show has been cancelled.

The CILK 101.5 EZ Rock station along with Penticton’s CJMG 97.1  Sun FM are now broadcasting as Move Radio.

This move comes with parent company Bell Media’s goal to bring 10 radio stations across Canada under the same name.

Andy from the Andy & Tj show took to social media to thank the fans he garnered over the last 18 years.

“Well, here is a note I never thought I’d have to write…As I’ve always been completely honest with you, I felt its important to share some unfortunate and sad news.  Management has terminated the “Andy and Tj” Morning Show,” he wrote.

He went on to explain, “It has been a humble privilege to be a part of your mornings. We were there with you for so many monumental events, from Firestorm 2003 to COVID 2020.”

Andy and Tj met on the radio and fell in love. They got married and shared their victories with their listeners, as well as their challenges.

“We got married, and you were a part of it.  During my battle with anxiety and depression; you were there. Whether it was our kid’s adventures (or misadventures), Tj’s cancer battle;  your support made our family feel like a part of your family. How we can ever repay that, I have no idea,” Andy wrote.

Tj is currently taking time off to complete her breast cancer journey and will return to the radio station under a new position in the coming months.

Andy says he will be focusing on his voice acting business.

“Something tells me that Kelowna has not heard the last of Andy & Tj. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.”

The new Move Radio stations aim to provide the ‘perfect blend of your favourite music, with hits from today and a few blasts from the past.’
