Kelowna's country music nightclub announces 'indefinite' closure

OK Corral Cabaret closing

After more than 36 years in business serving Kelowna's country music lovers, the owners of the OK Corral Cabaret have announced its closure.

The announcement was made on the nightclub's Facebook page on Sunday morning, confirming the club will remain closed indefinitely.

"Thank you family & friends for 36 years of fond memories at the Ok Corral Cabaret," reads the post.

"At this time we have decided to close the Cabaret indefinitely. There have been countless life long relationships and friendships built at the Ok Corral Cabaret and memories that will last a lifetime."

The Corral Beer Store will remain open from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. seven days a week.

The nightclub recently implemented special COVID-19 precautions such as no dancing, no table hopping, sanitization and social distancing, as well as six guests maximum per table. Masks were also available for visitors, and highly recommended by staff.

Castanet has reached out for comment from the owners.
