A collision near the Kelowna International Airport is causing delays

Hwy 97 back to normal

UPDATE 2:07 p.m.

Traffic has returned to normal on Highway 97 near the Kelowna International Airport following a collision that caused both lanes to be shut down while crews worked to clear the scene.

ORIGINAL 1:21 p.m.

Traffic on Highway 97 northbound, just before the Kelowna International Airport is not moving as of 1 p.m. Friday afternoon.

Emergency crews are on the scene of a collision involving at least two vehicles. A photo sent to us from a Castanet reader shows a black sedan that appears to have collided with a white SUV from behind with another vehicle in front of the white SUV.

It appears that everyone is out of their vehicles but there is no word on any injuries.
