Downtown Kelowna Association joins forces with GetintheLoop

Downtown gets in the loop

Downtown Kelowna Association has teamed up with a local mobile offers platform to get the word out about businesses that are trying to make their way back following COVID-19 closures.

GetintheLoop and DKA have created a community connections program, which will serve as a single source of accurate and relevant local business information as well as offers such as delivery or curb-side pickup options, gift card programs, online classes, and incentives and offers to support local businesses as the re-opening process continues in downtown Kelowna.

“As the voice of business in downtown Kelowna, we saw our members’ need to communicate with the public during these challenging business conditions,” DKA executive director Mark Burley said in a press release. “We wanted to expand our support to provide all downtown businesses with free access to GetintheLoop’s platform as a way to help them stay connected to area residents with offers and information about how they can support all downtown businesses now and as our community recovers.”

GetintheLoop users download the free app and opt in to receive curated, local offers and experiences from top brands and local businesses, including restaurants and bars, spas and salons, retail outlets and service providers.

“We’re thrilled to partner with an innovative, community-minded organization like the Downtown Kelowna Association, who can use our technology to help the community stay connected and support local entrepreneurs during this critical time,” GetintheLoop founder and CEO Matt Crowell said.
