Kelowna distillery's sanitizer giveaway to be limited to 300 people

Sanitizer giveaway returns

Kelowna's Forbidden Spirits distillery is taking another shot at a hand sanitizer giveaway this weekend.

The distillery is selling 300 tickets through their online store for sanitizer refills on Saturday and Sunday. You must bring your own container, and there is a limit of one litre per customer or per vehicle.

Tickets are $5 each, and all proceeds will be donated to the Kelowna Food Bank. They will also be accepting non-perishable food donations for the food bank.

Tickets must be redeemed between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. for the day they purchased for, and all containers must be clean.

Fistfights and complaints from the public cancelled a free sanitizer giveaway at Forbidden Spirits over the weekend, so the company changed the event's restrictions and is asking the public to be respectful of one another during the event.

"We will not tolerate any verbal, physical or emotional abuse of any kind," the company said in a press release. "Should you choose to behave inappropriately, you will lose the right to receive sanitizer at this event or any future events."

To purchase your ticket, visit the Forbidden Spirits' online store.
